Cyclist dies after accident

A CYCLIST who came off his bike near Wanlockhead on Monday has died from his injuries.

James Murray, 22, who lived in Fraser Terrace in the village, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow following the accident on the B797.

Police Scotland have announced that he died there in the early hours of this morning.

The Procurator Fiscal has been informed.
