JEWELLERY worth £2500 was stolen from a house in Newton Stewart yesterday.

The break in happened at a property in Blair Way sometime between 7.30 am and 8 pm.

Police are investigating and Constable Graeme Stewart said: “The house was broken into in broad daylight while no-one was in and we are asking for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the Blair Way area to get in touch through 101 if they can assist.”
