Beattock break in

CASH and jewellery have been stolen from a house in Beattock.

The property in Woodlea Court was broken into between Monday and Wednesday, while the householders were away.

Police Scotland are investigating and PC Nicola Brunton, based at Lockerbie, today appealed for information and witnesses.

She said: “We are are asking anyone in the Beattock area to give us a call on 101 if they can assist us with this investigation.  We want to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the Beattock area over this period, in particular at around 9 pm on Monday evening.

“We again remind the public that Police Scotland is only too happy to receive calls from the public about suspicious or even unusual activity in the community at the time it is happening.  We will gladly attend and check things out and if all in order then no harm done.”
