Hunt for missing hillwalkers

THE three Dumfries men missing in the Durisdeer area have been named by police as the hunt continues.

They are George Crosbie, 73; Bobby Thomson, 64; and Jeffrey Stewart, 74.

The trio failed to return from a hill walk yesterday and a major police and rescue search was launched last night.

HM Coastguard helicopter is involved, as well as Moffat, Galloway and Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue teams and search dogs.
