Win tickets to the Knitting Show

A NEW event celebrating textile art and crafts will take place in Edinburgh next month - and we’ve got tickets to giveaway.

The Knitting & Stitching Show Edinburgh will feature hundreds of workshops, demonstrations, galleries showcasing the work of leading textile artists and groups, and hundreds of specialist
craft companies selling essential supplies.
Textile lovers will be able to pick up ideas and expert advice and learn new skills.
There will be practical workshops, demonstrations and interactive features covering patchwork, quilting, knitting, crochet, dressmaking, embroidery, home furnishings, feltmaking and tapestry. Heritage crafts including lacemaking, beadwork, weaving, spinning and dyeing will feature too.
There will be eight galleries showcasing work by Fiona Rutherford, Joanna Kinnersly-Taylor, Michala Gyetvai, Hanne Asbey, Henk Lijding, Helen Pailing, Textile Artists Scotland and the Quilters’ Guild.
Other highlights include free demonstrations in The Creative Living Theatre; The Dressmaking Studio; a yarn wonderland; and live weaving, knitting and crochet, spinning, dyeing and embroidery sessions.
Show spokesman Jonathan Burton, said: “The Edinburgh show is a celebration of Scotland’s rich textile craft heritage.”
It takes place April 28- May 1 at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh. To find out more and for tickets go to www.theknittingandstitchingshow.com/edinburgh/or call 01473 321872.
