The theft happened sometime between Monday April 4 and Wednesday April 6.
A number of expensive watches were stolen, including an Ebel gent’s gold watch valued at over £20,000. Jewellery taken also included diamond rings, bracelets and chains and gent’s cufflinks.
Police say the total value of the property stolen is in excess of £50,000.
Detective Constable Martin Lumsden said: “This break-in appears to have happened sometime between Monday and Wednesday of last week and we are asking for the community in the Lochfoot area to get in touch if they saw or heard anything suspicious, however small or insignificant it might have seemed at the time, to let us know on the 101 number.
“Sightings of anything suspicious over this period, or even in the days before the break-in might help us catch those responsible.”
