£13k copper cable theft

POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of copper cabling worth £13,000 in Dumfries.

The incident happened between 9pm and 10pm last Friday night, May 26, in the Greystone Crescent area.

Detective Constable Jim Kirkpatrick said: “Enquiries are continuing into this high-value theft and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything around this time to come forward.

“If you saw anything unusual or suspicious in the area, including any suspicious vehicles, please contact police immediately.

“We encourage any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage which may assist in our enquiries to please get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 1363 of 29 May, 2023.
