“All the hard work that he puts in is now paying off and he is a constant reminder to all my other juniors at the Lockerbie Golf School of what hard work and dedication can achieve whatever sport they may take part in.”

He added: “He is a credit to the golf club and is a nice, sociable lad with no airs and graces and all the members, both senior, junior and ladies at Lockerbie Golf Club wish him well in America during his four-year golf scholarship in Texas.”
