£141k Annandale drug seizure
CANNABIS with an estimated street value of £141,000 was discovered during a routine police vehicle stop last night.
At about 8.50 pm, roads officers stopped a Toyota Avensis on the B7076 near Lockerbie.
And within the vehicle they found the drugs.
A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court today, Thursday.
Sergeant Lloyd Caven said: “This work has resulted in a significant amount of drugs being seized which will no longer end up on our streets.
“Tackling drug crime remains a priority and anyone who has concerns regarding drug misuse in their area should report this to police via 101.”
