Scottish Cup draw completed

DALBEATTIE Star received their first home draw in the Scottish Cup for several seasons and will play Wick Academy in the first round draw.

But it’s a different story for Gretna 2008 who face a long trip north to play Highland League side Deveronvale.
Dalbeattie’s opponents who also play in the Highland League have the longest trip in the draw and face a 700-mile round trip to play at Islecroft Stadium.
On the other hand Gretna face a 520-mile round trip for their first round tie on Saturday September 24.

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash near Annan last Friday
