High value break in at farm

A SUBSTANTIAL amount of cash has been stolen from a farm between Dumfries and New Abbey.

The high value break in happened sometime between Monday 17 and Tuesday 25 October, while the occupier was away from home.

Police are investigating and Detective Inspector Scott Young at Dumfries said: “Once again we see a property which was left unoccupied getting broken into while the occupants were away from home.  We are currently carrying out investigations on a number of fronts and are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have used the A710 road between Dumfries and New Abbey over this period to get in touch if they saw anything suspicious.”

Anyone with any information can contact police at Dumfries on the 101 number, or if they wish to remain anonymous then through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
