Pub break in

A PUB in Heathhall was broken into early yesterday morning and £300 stolen.

Police are investigating the theft at The New Vacuna Inn between 12.30 am and 9.15 am on Wednesday. Officers say the target appears to have been the gaming machine and the contents, estimated at £300, were taken after it was broken into.

Constable Polly Kippen at Dumfries said: “We want to hear from anyone who may have been past the premises in the early hours of Wednesday to get in touch if they saw anything suspicious.  Likewise we would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the bar on Tuesday evening if they saw anything suspicious.  Callers can reach us at Dumfries on the 101 number.”
