£19k caravan theft

A CARAVAN stolen from a retail premises on Annan Road has sparked a police appeal for information.

Police Scotland are investigating the theft of the new caravan from Dumfries Caravan Centre some time overnight on Friday July 29 and Saturday July 30.
The caravan is a Bailey Pursuit caravan, white in colour and is valued at £19,000.
It is brand new and unregistered.
PC Keith Beattie at Dumfries said: “Clearly this has been a planned theft as considerable security has been overcome to enter the yard which would have taken some time, as would the removal of the caravan itself.
“We want to hear from anyone who may have driven past the site on the Annan Road through the night Friday/Saturday, and who may have seen any suspicious activity.
“Again, any unusual or suspicious vehicle movements around this area would be of assistance.”
Callers are asked to provide any information through by phoning 101.
