£20k theft from van

TOOLS and two laptop computers worth over £20,000 have been stolen from a van parked in Torthorwald.

The theft from the Fiat Doblo happened at the waste water treatment works in the village sometime overnight Monday to Tuesday.
Police are investigating and PC Sandy Currie said: “The value of the laptops, which contain high specification software, and the tools is in excess of £20,000.
“We want to hear from anyone who may have passed the waste water treatment site on Monday night or early Tuesday morning to get in touch if they saw or heard anything suspicious. Callers can contact us on the 101 number at Dumfries.”
