Travelling art exhibition hits Annan

A CONTEMPORARY art exhibition housed in a bus has arrived in Annan.

Artwork by Lauren Printy Currie is being showcased within Travelling Gallery, which will be open at The Bruce Restaurant, Gracies Banking, in Annan until 4 pm today.

Travelling Gallery was established in 1978 and continues to bring contemporary art to communities throughout Scotland.

The not-for-profit venture is regularly funded by Creative Scotland and supported by the City of Edinburgh Council.

The exhibition being presented in association with Glasgow Women’s Library is showing off the work of Lauren Printy Currie makes sculptural objects that explore experience and perception, combining purposefully unpredictable casting, relief, painting and printing.

Admission is free, and visitors are being welcomed up to 4 pm today, before the Travelling Gallery heads to the North West Resource Centre in Dumfries on Wednesday before heading on to the Wigtown Book Festival.
