300 get on their bikes for charity challenge

HUNDREDS of cyclists took part in the Drumlanrig Tearfund Challenge raising £15,000 between them.

A total of 300 people got on their bikes on Saturday for the 100 mile route.
Tearfund Scotland director Lynne Paterson thanked everyone involved: “We are so grateful to all the volunteers who help make it such a success. Thanks to their hard work and dedication we have been able to provide vital aid and support to thousands of people in some of the poorest communities across the world.”
Taking part for the fourth time was Brian Morrell, of Caerlaverock WWT Reserve. He said: “It’s such a fantastic route.”
