But take a second look at the 12-year-old mare and she may seem familiar.
For she is the equine star of one of TV’s biggest dramas of recent years, Peaky Blinders.
She appeared in the hit show as the horse, Grace’s Secret, belonging to main character Tommy, played by Cillian Murphy.
The 16 hh thoroughbred was cast in 2014, when she lived at a stud farm in County Durham, and appeared in season two as a race horse.
However, that’s now in the past and she’s enjoying a quieter life at Southwoodhead near Lockerbie with Fiona Gibson and family.
She said: “Her actual name is Well Dressed Woman and she was bred at Nunstainton Stud at Ferryhill, where she was chosen to star in Peaky Blinders.
“Then she was bought by a friend in Penrith, where I bought her without realising what all this Peaky Blinders thing was!”
The horse’s acting days are all behind her now and there’s no signs of her being a diva. Fiona said: “Susie, as everyone knows her, has settled in and is a well dressed woman with her full and extensive wardrobe due to her colouring.
“She’s a girls’ girl, loves attention, perfume and hairspray!”
