Clubs and competitors from across Scotland and the north of England attended the event.
This year the club was invited by Guid Nychburris to coordinate the regatta with the celebrations and it’s hoped to make this an annual event.
Full results are available on the Scottish Rowing website. The Nithsdale winners were: Ryan Glymond, John Dunse, Mark and Harvey Buchanan – Open men’s coxed 4; Blair Moles – Junior 14 single heat and final; Mitch Peacock and Ella Gildert – Mixed novice doubles; Stevie Gildert – Women’s Junior 14 singles; Mark Buchanan – Open Master D singles; Ryan Glymond, Mitch Peacock, Erin McCloskey and Bridie Gildert, coxed by Matilda Larisma – Mixed novice coxed quads; Emma Staniforth, Ella Gildert and two Strathclyde Park ladies – Women’s restricted 2 coxed 4.
In other races, Nithsdale members gave competitors a good day of racing. Some other results on the day included: Ella Gildert who came second in Women’s Junior 18 singles and the Women’s Open Quads who were narrowly beaten in the final by Stirling.
The regatta has been a milestone for the club after the boathouse was refurbished following seven years of fundraising. A sponsors’ reception was held to thank the external funding bodies, Holywood Trust, SUEZ, South West Environmental Trust and Foundation Scotland.
