New community role

THERE is a new community police officer in Annan.

PC Stephen Glendinning joined Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary initially as a police cadet in 2006 and went on to join as a police constable two years later.

His previous postings to date have included response policing in Dumfries and Lockerbie and detective constable within the public protection unit.

PC Glendinning has been part of Annandale and Eskdale’s Community Policing Team for the past six years, based at Lockerbie Police Station as the community police officer for Lockerbie.

He was appointed community officer for Annan on June 1, he said: “I am looking forward to working with the community and getting out and about to meet local people.”
