£7k kitchen theft

KITCHEN units and appliances worth over £7000 have been stolen from a house under construction at Crocketford.

Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses to the theft of the new, boxed units at the Otters Burn development.
The items were taken between Friday November 4 and Tuesday November 8.
The units are Porter Alabaster rigid built cabinets and include pelmets, plinths, cornice and handles.
The appliances include an induction hob, a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher, a double over, a sink and taps and are valued at about £7500.
Constable Victoria Thomson at Castle Douglas said: “Clearly this theft would have taken a bit of time and a large vehicle to remove all these units and appliances.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of the Otters Burn development over the weekend to give us a call if they saw or heard anything suspicious.”
