£8k quad theft

AN £8000 quad bike has been stolen from a farm in the region.

Police are investigating the theft of the red Honda 420cc bike from a shed in the Balmaghie/Glenlochar area near Castle Douglas. It was taken sometime overnight last Friday to Saturday.
PC Gregg Armstrong said: “The farm where the quad was taken from sits off the B795 road and we want to hear from anyone who may have been on that road on Friday night, early Saturday morning. We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have had any cold callers at their homes in the Glenlochar and Balmaghie areas recently.”
Police can be contacted on 101.
