Griddle pan attack

A COURT has heard how a man needed surgery for a fractured jaw and other injuries after he was assaulted with a griddle pan.

He was taken to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow following the incident in Glenshalloch Road, Dalbeattie last April.
And in court on Tuesday, Joy Fletcher, 57, pleaded guilty to repeatedly hitting him on the head with the pan.
Sheriff Brian Mohan told Fletcher, who has now moved to Staffordshire, that it was a very serious incident in the light of the injuries and deferred sentence to April 19 for background reports.
