CONVERSATIONS about care will be carried out across the region on Monday.

Dumfries and Galloway Council is taking part in this year’s ‘What matters to you’ day on June 6.
The international day aims to encourage and support more meaningful conversations between service users, their families/carers and the staff who provide services.
And the authority’s care and support staff will be speaking to those they look after to find out what they think of their care and what matters most to them.
Councillor Jim Dempster, said: “Our care staff will be taking the time to speak to the people that we care for, focusing on what really matters to them. We want all our users to feel like they are being listened to, so our staff will speak to them about their care.
“This can lead to improvements in the quality and effectiveness of care for people and communities. Having a better understanding of what is important to people can also help us to build more effective relationships and to provide the type of support and resources that people want and need to help them achieve optimal health and wellbeing.”
