His three-year-old 2/1 shot Aguero led from the first bend to win the 8.30 sprint race on Friday night.
He finished 2.75 lengths in front of Lonsdale Boy, a two-year-old dog from Glen Rafferty of Workington.
The Hopper kennels was in top spot again in the final 470 metres trip of the night.
Diamond Rosie, a two-year-old bitch, powered home to win by 1.5 lengths from Scots fancy Whack, a three-year-old from Willie Hyslop of Kilmarnock.
There was also a good night for Halcrow regular Dexter Clark from Kirkbride.
His 2/1 shot Dottie won by a neck in the opening sprint race while his similar priced bitch Barbie took the honours by .75 of a length in the 9.15 middle distance race.
