Police probe Annan house raid

AN INVESTIGATION has been launched into a break-in and an attempted raid on a house in Annan.

On Friday August 26 a house in Kimmeter Wynd was broken into sometime between 8.30 am and 1.30 pm.

An Acer laptop computer and an Apple I-Pad were stolen.  The value of the property was nearly £1000.

Constable Susan Kerr at Annan said: “This was a daylight break-in at a house in a residential area.  We want to hear from anyone who may have been about the Kimmeter area on Friday to get in touch if they saw or heard anything suspicious.”

In another incident, a house in North Street in the town was the subject of an attempted break-in at around 12.24 am on Saturday August 27.

Entry was not gained to the property and police believe those responsible were disturbed by the activation of an alarm.

Constable Stewart Hunter, also of Annan Police,  said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the North Street area just after midnight on Saturday.”

Anyone with information on either incident should contact police on the 101 telephone number.
