Top ten on graduate scheme

TEN graduates are being given the chance of work experience with Dumfries and Galloway Council.

The group have been taken on by the local authority for eight months.

And each one will have the chance to take on responsibility for a specific key project during that time, including asset management, financial monitoring, artist exhibition planning and countryside access and tourism.
It is expected they will gain significant knowledge, skills and experience which will enhance their future employability. They will also be given the opportunity to complete training in Project Management as well as completing an SVQ Level 4.
Council leader Ronnie Nicholson said: “I hope they will all go on to successful careers within Dumfries and Galloway and enjoy their time working in our diverse, interesting and challenging organisation.”
