GREYHOUNDS: Clark victory in border battle

THERE was a cross-border tussle in the opening sprint race at Halcrow Greyhound Stadium, Gretna on Friday night.

Tom Clark’s three-year-old Workington bitch Park Lane edged home as favourite to win by 1.5 lengths.

She finished ahead of strong challenger Cara, a two-year-old dog from Murray Aitken of Dumfries.

Later, over the same distance, the Clark kennels made it a double with One Cool Cat, a three-year-old, beating the favourite Snowie Dream, from Frannie Hill of Hawick.
