The vehicles were involved in a collision on the B7020 Annan to Lochmaben road close to the crossroads at Charlesfield Cottages around 4.45 pm.
One woman was taken by ambulance to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary although her injuries were not thought to be serious.
No-one else was hurt but there was damage to both cars which required recovery from the scene.
