‘Songs for Christmas’ is the sixth solo album for Emily Smith, 35, from Thornhill.
Her career began in 2002 when she became BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician Of The Year.
Since then Emily has received several awards, as recent as 2014, for her musical talent.
On her new album Emily presents original and traditional material drawn from her folk background.
The album has been crafted over several years and includes 12 tracks, such as Silent Night, God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman and Winter Song.
The new album will be available from all music retailers from December 2.
And Emily will be touring Dumfries and Galloway this December, at venues such as the Theatre Royal, Dumfries on December 15, and Loch Arthur Farm Shop in Beeswing on December 4 and Drumlanrig Castle on December 18 as she aims to provide festive joy to her fans.
