Blogmas Day 6 - Christmas trial run

MY weekend was full of turkey, tinsel and trimmings.

We went to the pantomime, watched festive films, went on a present hunt and enjoyed breakfast with Santa and Mrs Claus.

No, we didn’t get our dates wrong, we were in fact on a Winter Wonderland weekend and embracing all things Christmassy.
It’s the second year in a row we’ve done it and it’s definitely a fab way to kickstart the season and gets us into the jolliest frames of mind.
A lodge park in Lancashire was our destination, but to all intents and purposes it was Lapland for the weekend – minus the real snow.
In fact, a smattering of the white stuff was the only thing missing.
We embraced the festivities with Christmas jumpers all round and Santa hats too – and we even put up a tree in our holiday cottage and tucked into a turkey dinner with Snowball cocktails on the side.
It was like a trial run for the big day itself and was a magical few days for both the little ones . . . and the not so little!
