They were all stopped by police between Friday December 2 and Monday December 12 and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to drink driving offences.
A total of 495 checks were carried out over this period.
Inspector Campbell Moffat, of the division’s road policing unit said: “Despite all the publicity surrounding the dangers of drink driving and the recent launch of our festive campaign it is disappointing to see that six people still took the decision to put not only themselves in danger, but others using our roads as well by getting behind the wheel of a vehicle after drinking.”
And as the festive season continues, he warned: “Our patrols will continue to be out on the roads across the region, 24/7, over the festive period to drive the message home – Don’t risk it.”
