Stephen Hornby of Portpatrick, near Stranraer, who has family links with Eastriggs, produced two sprint winners at Friday’s meeting at Halcrow Stadium.
His two-year-old dog Hot Tim edged ahead in the home straight to secure his first victory on the track by .5 of a length.
He snatched the glory from Rab Hyslop’s four-year-old Hawick dog Zig Zag.
Next success for the Hornby kennels came in the 8.30 race when two-year-old dog Horny Bull took the honours by .5 of a length.
He finished half a length in front of Diamond Katie, a three-year-old bitch from Tony Hopper from Workington.
One of the best performances of the night came from Papa, a two-year-old dog from Pat Kennedy of Coatbridge, which flew round the track to win over 280 metres by 5.5 lengths.
The strongest challenge came from Rick Nelson’s 18-month-old Glasgow dog Another Wons.
