Sheriff to rule dog's fate

THE future of an Alsatian dog which bit a woman on Kirkcudbright golf course will be decided by a sheriff at Dumfries.

Keith Richardson, of Shillinghill, Kirkcudbright, pleaded guilty at the court this week to being the owner of a dog which was dangerously out of control and bit a woman on the thigh last October.
The court heard that the animal was alleged to have previously bitten another woman in November 2015.
Richardson told the police that he now had the dog muzzled.
He will be allowed to put mitigation on the dog’s future before the court in May.
