Stylists share bridal hair secrets

WITH pulses racing on your wedding day, the last thing a bride needs is a truly terrible hair raising experience too!

BEAUTIFUL . . . Samantha Little’s wedding hair by Ryan Haggarty Hair

So reporter Amanda Kennedy spoke to two of the region’s most sought after wedding hair stylists to get their top tips for stunning bridal looks.

Ryan Haggarty, of Ryan Haggarty Hair, Dumfries, is no stranger to having  a bride in his salon chair.

And offering advice on making your wedding hair picture perfect, he said: “I would say always have your trial a minimum of eight weeks before the wedding and always come with a picture of your dress for your stylist.

“It’s so important that we can visualise the style of your hair with the style of your dress.”

When it comes to bridesmaid, he added: “If you are having all of them with the same style, do make sure they all have a trial.

“What suits one girl could look completely different on another and the last thing you want on your wedding morning is panic about a bad hairstyle. “Preparation makes for a relaxed morning of pampering.”

And Jeenine Davies, of Browns Lockerbie and Dumfries, has also shared her top tips.

She said: “Getting married is one of the biggest life events you’ll ever have to prepare for and becoming a bride is an incredibly unique journey for every woman. So finding the perfect stylist is essential to get the ultimate experience.”

Jeenine says brides should pick their ideal stylis ta year to six months in advance and says an in-depth consultation is a must covering everything from wedding theme, dress and accessories to hair.

She said: “Once all this information is gathered I like to build a relationship with the bride to create their vision for their big day and giving my professional advice and gaining their trust seeing them happy fills me full of joy.”

Jeannie, like Ryan, says the ideal time for a hair trial is two months before the big day.
