The village’s 48th Traditional Music Festival runs from Friday June 30 to Sunday July 2.
There will be the added attraction on the Saturday of the increasingly popular Copshaw Common Riding. Known as the ‘friendly festival,’ musicians travel from across the country to attend.
As well as helping fill local hotels, guest houses and the caravan site, a tented village is set up in a local park and along the banks of the Liddel Water.
There will be an array of competitions, ceilidhs and concerts. As well as music and singing, there will be sections for ballads, poetry and composition.
The brochure is being circulated through visitor outlets on both sides of the border.
