A blue-coloured Ford Focus was ‘extensively damaged’ while parked in Newpath in the town on Thursday morning.
Police Scotland say that it appears that a lorry which had a blue curtain side may have caused the damage at abour 10.45 am.
Two men were seen at the time, but got back into the lorry and drove off.
