The successful applicant will have a flair for the written word, an interest in current affairs and, in particular, all aspects of life in Dumfries and Galloway.
They should demonstrate an ability to produce interesting, accurate and balanced copy within tight deadlines.
Full on-the-job and formal training will be provided towards industry-standard NCTJ qualifications.
