MINI GHOULS, beasties, fairies and all fancy dressed frolickers are invited to take part in a safe trick-or-treat event in Lockerbie this Halloween.

High Street business owners ‘grisly’ Gary Lewis, of Who’s Next Barbers, and Adele and Ralph Scott of Room 87 will be opening their doors to the public come Tuesday.

They will be joined by Sandra Odoh, of Beauty by Sands, who will be offering glitter tattoos and sparkly hair extensions, and Donna Postlewaite of Dream Cakes by Donna.

Discussing the idea, Sandra said: “It’s such a shame the kids can’t enjoy Halloween any more.

“Gary and I came up with the idea of throwing a safe Halloween trick or treating event from listening to our clients and their worries about sending children trick or treating.

“We just want to provide a fun safe environment for parents to bring their kids.”

And they hope that next year businesses around the town will join in and throw open their doors for a Halloween special, even creatingamap of safe spots to visit.
