RULES were made to be broken at Lockerbie Gala and ROM’s race night with a difference on Saturday.

Six lots of racing hopefuls mounted their steeds – inflatable space hoppers-group by group in a fight to the finish line.
And locals turned out in their droves to support the racers and placed bets on their favourites.
The final six, winners of their individual races, gathered on the inflatable course to see who would be first to complete four laps of the course from their starting point.
After a tense race, this year’s Cornet Elect Ian Millar, also bookies’ favourite, was crowned the winner and took home an inflatable trophy.   DSCF4756
Gala Chairman Ian McLatchie said: “It was an absolutely fantastic night and it was so good to see so many people taking part and coming out to support the gala. “This was our biggest fundraiser this year and it’s really important that the community get behind us and shoe their support so we can make Gala Day and the run up to the event as action packed as possible.”
