Cammy Robb is on the road to success in the Scottish Pre-Injection 600 Championship scene.
Following a wild notion, the 24-year-old started racing in 2015.
Last year he finished fifth in the championships and he is gearing up to break the top three this season.
Following a few good months of competing, he is now sitting in fourth place in the Scottish Championship league, five points behind third place after three rounds.
He said: “There are five rounds remaining, so hopefully I can improve on current times and positions and keep gaining points and hopefully progress further up the table and a podium would be great.”
Cammy’s had a busy few weeks, featuring some ups and downs.
Last month he celebrated beating his personal best (PB) twice while competing at Knockhill.
But disaster struck earlier this month following a mechanical failure.
He said: “Recently I entered into a 50 lap endurance race with fellow racer and friend Ross Watts.
“Qualifying went great, we both managed to qualify second for the race.
“But unfortunately at the start of the race we were faced with a mechanical issue which jeopardised the race for us. This was a great shame as I think we stood a good chance.
“We look forward to competing in another endurance race having hopefully ironed out any issues.”
Cammy will next take to the track at East Fortune next month, July 14 and 15, for the fourth round of the championships.
He said: “Hopefully here I can gain more points to help my current championship standing.
“And I want to thank my sponsors A&A Robb, Moss Motors, Sign-IT and John Campbell for all the support and help they have given me – it wouldn’t be possible without them.”
