The charity event on Sunday August 19 is being organised by friends Liz Sandford, of Creca, and Tracey Wright, of Bankshill, who have both had family members with the condition or similar.
The departure point is Creca Village Hall at 11 am and refreshments will await participants on their return. Entry is £20 and walkers have also the option of collecting sponsorship. Tracy explained the 5km route will loop around Chapelcross and is a flat walk. The event is aimed at adults, dog walkers are also welcome as long as their pet is kept on a letter and buggies can be taken along.
