Findlay McKay, 19, said to be of no fixed address in Annan, stood in the dock at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Wednesday accused of a total of 15 charges alleged to have taken place earlier in the week.
He pleaded not guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at Windermere Road in Annan, acting in an aggressive manner and making sectarian remarks, driving carelessly and colliding with metal railings in Annan Road, Eastriggs; stealing a car at Pretoria Road in Eastriggs; and driving dangerously in Eastriggs and Annan at excessive speeds, failing to keep the car under control and colliding with a stationary police vehicle.
He also denied failing to stop when requested by police, and after colliding with the police car driving on and endangering the policewoman, as well as resisting officers and at the Loreburn Street Police Station in Dumfries tearing a blanket.
McKay offered pleas of guilty to breaking into LNP premises in Eastriggs and stealing a safe, a money collection box, and the contents of a tub containing money; stealing a vehicle there, driving without a valid licence and using the vehicle in Eastriggs without consent.
He also offered to plead guilty to driving the second vehicle while unfit through drink or drugs, driving without insurance and without a licence.
However, the fiscal depute said the offer of the guilty pleas was not acceptable and trial was set for February.
