Police attend Dumfries Academy incident

POLICE were called to Dumfries Academy at around 10 am this morning following  reports a pupil had been injured.

A police spokesman said: “Firstly, we want to reassure everyone no one is seriously injured and police have full control of the situation.

“A 14 year old boy who is a pupil at the school suffered a minor injury that did not require any hospital treatment.

“Enquiries are at an early stage and officers are working with staff and pupils to establish the circumstances. There is no risk to any pupils or staff and the school day will continue.”
