The first stage of the tour on Saturday, September 7 will begin with a loop of Glasgow city centre before beginning their descent south through Renfrewshire, East Ayrshire and South Ayrshire before entering Dumfries and Galloway.
This will be the ninth occasion that Dumfries and Galloway have hosted a stage finish of Britain’s biggest professional cycle race, however, this will be the first time that the event has visited Kirkcudbright.
For each stage, there are three schedules based on three average speeds, which consider how the race may be contested as well as the impact of different weather conditions.
