Kirkcudbright theft

JEWELLERY and cash was stolen in a day-light raid of a Kirkcudbright town.

Officers in Kirkcudbright are investigating a break-in to a house in Mount Pleasance Avenue in the town.
Sometime between 10.30 am and 6.30 pm on Wednesday  the house was broken into while the occupier was out.
A quantity of jewellery and a four figure sum of cash, made up of sterling and Euros was stolen in the raid.
Constable Caroline Carson at Kirkcudbright said: “It appears that this break-in happened sometime during day-light hours when the house was empty.
“We are currently carrying our door to door enquiries in the area and we are keen to hear from anyone in the area who may have seen or heard anything suspicious on Wednesday.

“We also want to hear about any strange vehicles that may have been seen in the area, either driving through or parked up on Wednesday.  Callers can call us at Kirkcudbright on the 101 number and should quote the reference 3618  6 November 2019.”
