Lockerbie’s Niki Johnstone is hosting a town wide talent show next year and she’s looking for acts to take part.
The charity fundraiser, taking place on February 1, is being held in honour of Niki’s closest friend, Bev Farish, who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
And all proceeds are going towards Bev’s chosen charity, Marie Curie.
Niki said: “We are looking for singers, bands, tribute acts, dancers, stand up comedians, impressionists . . . anything goes.
“I wanted to do something for Bev as she’s been my best friend since forever.
“I decided a talent show because Bev has been involved in so many in the past and she loves a good night out so this event was a no brainer.
“We are gonna blow the roof off the town hall!”
Also helping to organise the big event are Bev’s daughter Eilidh Farish, a seasoned event co-ordinator, and Bev’s friends bar owner and experienced compere Ian McLatchie and Pogo Patterson, who is no stranger to the limelight.
All four have organised countless fundraisers over the years, including talent competitions, a dancing on ice extravaganza and even a local take on Saturday Night Takeaway.
Niki said: “I wanted the best team and I have that in Ian, Pogo and Eilidh.
“There might be a few faces from years gone by taking part in the ‘Bev Factor’ but we need new acts too so please get in touch.”
Tickets will be £15 and go on sale in January.
