Satisfied students

STUDENTS at Dumfries and Galloway College are among the most satisfied in Scotland, according to a new survey.

The Student Satisfaction and Engagement Survey 2018/2019 found that over 90 per cent of students say they are satisfied with student life at the South of Scotland college.

Of the 6880 students who replied to the survey, 6251 said that their experience was satisfactory. Among full-time students, 92.6 per cent indicated their satisfaction with the educational experience on offer at the college’s twin campuses in Dumfries and Stranraer. Part-time students were similarly happy, responding with a satisfaction rate of 92.4 per cent.

Principal Joanna Campbell welcomed the results and said: “Making sure that our students are happy in our college is our highest priority and so we’re all delighted to hear how positively so many of them feel about student life here. These results, among the best in the entire Scottish further education sector, are a tribute to the sense of community that our students, staff, and everyone else who makes their lives here, have created. However, we are not complacent and will continue to work to improve upon these already excellent results.”
