Bev's show is a speedy sell out

THE hottest tickets in town sold out in just two hours this week, as people clamour to see local Lockerbie talent take to the stage for The Bev Factor.

Acts for the charity night in honour of Lockerbie lass Bev Farish are readying their routines, memorising their moves and honing the high notes ready for the big show in the town hall on February 1.

Organiser Niki Johnstone, ably aided by well-kent Ian McLatchie, Eilidh Farish and Pogo Patterson, was delighted with the demand on Tuesday night – as crowds started queuing from mid afternoon ready for the sale at 7.30 pm.

She said: “The fact that it sold out last night is testament to what an amazing person Bev is and how much she is loved and thought of in our wee community.

“Bev has been overwhelmed at the excitement and support stirred up for the event.”

All involved are hoping the night raises a huge sum for Marie Curie, the charity selected by Bev a year after her cancer diagnosis.

And referring to the performers she has lined up, Niki added: “The acts are all really excited.

“They have the order of appearance now and I’m sure the crowd will be wowed.

“We have everything from tribute acts to someone even performing a song they have written themselves.”

One of the acts lined up to star is the Farish sisters – Bev’s daughters Eilidh, Briagh and Ruadhan.

Their performance is a closely-guarded secret, but is sure to impress.
