World Book Day 2020

BOOKS have been 'released into the wild' to celebrate World Book Day 2020.

Dumfries Academy English teacher Bryony Smith has wrapped up some of her favourite titles as part of the BookCrossing scheme.

And people in Dumfries are encouraged to pick them up, take them home to enjoy and pass on again.

She said: “You might see them on benches, ledges or anywhere which might catch your eye.

“Feel free to open them up and take them home to enjoy.

“When you’re finished, simply leave them in a public place for someone else to discover.

“Don’t forget to tag your find on the DumfriesAcademyEvents Facebook page and register your discovery at www.bookcrossing.com (there’s a code on a label in every book).

“Happy reading.”
