Alba Developments are eager to bring 200 new homes to the area, with close access to Gretna Primary school, nearby shops and also Gretna Gateway.
This development would follow on from Cunninghame Housing Association, who have already commenced the building of 200 homes themselves across Gretna.
This aim by Alba is to help revitalise the currently redundant site through important investment to deliver a sustainable new neighbourhood.
Proposals discussed include two to three bed bungalows and terraces as well as family homes that occupy four and five bedrooms, along with a cycleway and footpath connections.
Alba Developments managing director Shane Ticklepenny said: “We are excited to see things moving after having submitted the detail planning application for our Gretna development to the council.
“This site will help the local area and bring much needed family and affordable homes to the area.
“We are very proud of our plans in Gretna and hope it will inject new life to the village.
“Our investments will bring an economic boost and attract new families to the area.”
